The Range is Here

We have just received our first order of the new stencils from Annie Sloan. They are amazing and I can’t wait to get started with them on some pieces. We have put them up already in the online shop for you.

Here is what they look like …..

Mexican Birds - so much scope here. You can echo the colourful designs of Mexican folk embroidery to create a design filled with radiance and happiness. More subtle colour combos would create quieter more simple patterns. The border is a useful addition to the stencil as it helps contain the patterns in their defined spaces.

Paisley Floral Garland - what is says on the packet! A melody of flowers and garlands. They can twist and turn by angling the stencil in different directions. You create designs that are a bit Indian, a bit chintzy, a bit floral. plus there are two individual stencils in this pack - super value!

Countryside Bird - Wow the combos here are endless. We have birds, flowers, leaves and berries that can all be mixed and matched with a little creative thinking. They are simple patterns that can be worked into any kind of folkloric to classical design and have a quaintly English feel about the images.

Faux Bone Inlay - In fact we covered this in a previous blog. Even so it is definitely worth including here as it is part of the new range. You can have a lot of fun mixing and matching all these designs. After all there are three separate stencils in the pack! Annie added a little of her Pearlized Paint on top for an authentic lustre to the finish.

Meadow Flowers - This too, was subject of a previous blog but we think it is so cool it can come here too! We have seen it used in a random way building up layers of flowers like a wild hedgerow and straight just as it stands to make a powerful back splash for a bathroom basin area. Either way it makes some cool designs.

Chinoiserie Birds - Our favourite saved til last. This is what Annie says about this design. “Chinoiserie is the extravagant, whimsical, dreamlike 17th Century Western interpretation of Chinese and East Asian artistic traditions.” that just about sums it up doesn’t it? You can add a spot of gilding to give it that edge if you feel rather bold.

We wanted to show you all the designs in this great new range of stencils here but for more technical info pop over to the online shop where we have included all you need to know.

We do hope you are inspired by all this - we certainly were!
